Avianca to resume route to London in March 2022

Avianca announced the resumption of the route between Bogota and London starting March 26, 2022 on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity for 222 passengers in economy cabin and 28 in business.
«We are very pleased to resume direct flights between Colombia and the United Kingdom, offering more and better options for our customers traveling between Europe and Latin America. For our long-haul flights we will maintain the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet with business and economy cabin,» said Catalina Nannig, Avianca’s Vice President of Sales and Distribution. «This offering, together with the customization options of the Vuela a tu Medida scheme, will give our customers a first-class experience,» she added.
The route will have a daily flight and will allow travelers from the United Kingdom to access major destinations in Central and South America thanks to the airline’s route network.
The relaunch of this route follows the British Government’s announcement to remove from its red list of Covid-19 risk travel destinations the seven Latin American countries it still maintained: Colombia, Peru, Panama, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Venezuela and Ecuador.
Tickets for this route are already available for purchase on the airline’s platforms and cost approximately US$450.
