The order in question is for forty firm units of the A320neo family. All of them will be powered by the GTF engines of the PW1000G family. ACG adds these orders to another twenty A220s and twenty A320neo-family aircraft.

Steven C. Udvar-Hazy, ACG senior vice president, and chief procurement officer said, «Pratt & Whitney GTFs continues to deliver economic and environmental benefits to our customers. We are proud to be able to continue our commitment to these excellent engines.»

ACG has, between firm orders, options, and aircraft already delivered, 145 aircraft with Pratt & Whitney engines. These include Airbus A220 and A320neo with GTF engines, A320ceo with V2500 engines, and Boeing 757 with PW2000 engines.

Rick Deurloo, CCO of Pratt & Whitney, added, «Industry leaders are recognizing the growing value that GTF engines bring to their operations. Rising fuel prices, coupled with environmental concerns, are making our engines with their lower emissions and fuel consumption increasingly attractive.»
