    Beginning in November of this year, Avelo Airlines is increasing its Fort Myers (RSW) operations with three new seasonal routes: Kalamazoo (AZO) and Lansing (LAN) in Michigan, and Raleigh/Durham (RDU) in North Carolina. The low-cost carrier will be the sole operator on all these new nonstop services.

    The low-cost carrier currently operates five weekly Boeing 737-700 flights from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) to New Haven (HVN), one of the company’s main hubs. Avelo continues to grow in major domestic leisure markets as part of its future strategy.

    Starts November 10, 2022.

    • Flight XP 840 RSW 09:00 – RDU 10:50 Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
    • Flight XP 841 RDU 11:40 – RWS 13:40 Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
    Kalamazoo (AZO)

    Starts from November 11, 2022.

    • Flight XP 822 RSW 09:00 – AZO 11:50 Wednesday and Saturday.
    • Flight XP 823 AZO 20:00 – RSW 22:50 Wednesday and Saturday.
    Lansing (LAN)

    Starts from November 11, 2022.

    • Flight XP 860 RSW 16:20 – LAN 19:15 Wednesday and Friday.
    • Flight XP 861 LAN 12:45 – RSW 15:35 Wednesday and Friday.

    All routes will be operated on Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft and promotional fares are available from USD 69 each way from RDU and from USD 79 on routes to Michigan. Tickets can now be purchased on the company’s website and through its regular channels.

    Avelo continues to grow in the southeastern United States, with this new service to Fort Myers (RSW) the low-cost carrier will have six destinations in Florida that also include: Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Tampa (TPA), West Palm Beach (PBI), Sarasota (SRQ) and Orlando (MCO), the latter of which will be the carrier’s new base in the Sunshine State.

    Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) was among the fastest recovering airports in the United States where 10,322,434 passengers were mobilized in 2021, which presents a 1% increase over 2019.
