Spain: TAP Air Portugal will have two new flights to the Balearic Islands

TAP Air Portugal expands its offer in the Balearic Islands with new routes from Lisbon (LIS) to Palma de Mallorca (PMI) and Menorca (MAH). These services will be complemented by its operations in Ibiza (IBZ). For the summer season the company will have thirteen destinations in Spain.

The Portuguese airline will offer 50,766 weekly seats between Portugal and Spain in July, according to data obtained through Cirium, serving a variety of business and leisure destinations. TAP is the leading airline operator in this market in terms of seats per kilometers offered (ASK).

Flight scheduling

The company’s new routes to the Balearic Islands are seasonal and will be available until the end of October.

Palma de Mallorca

Starts from May 20.

• Lisbon – Palma de Mallorca Flight TP 1150 LIS 08:25 – PMI 11:20 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
• Palma de Mallorca – Lisbon Flight TP 1151 PMI 12:10 – LIS 13:10 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

The route will be operated on Airbus A320neo aircraft with a capacity of 174 seats in single configuration and promotional fares are available from EUR 45 each way. The airline will be the only full-service operator in this segment.

Menorca

Starts from June 4.

• Lisbon – Menorca Flight TP 1154 LIS 15:00 – MAH 18:00 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
• Menorca – Lisbon Flight TP 1155 MAH 18:50 – LIS 20:00 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The route will be operated by Portugalia Airlines on Embraer E190 aircraft with a capacity of 106 seats in single configuration and promotional fares are available from EUR 98 each way.

TAP Air Portugal in Spain

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Estadística, TAP Air Portugal in Spain mobilized 1,432,706 passengers and 1,243.5 tons of cargo in 2022 through 15,652 operations. The Portuguese airline exceeded its pre-pandemic levels last year.

For the summer season, the Portuguese airline’s Spanish network will have services to Malaga (AGP), Alicante (ALC), Barcelona (BCN), Bilbao (BIO), Fuerteventura (FUE), Ibiza (IBZ), Gran Canaria (LPA), Madrid (MAD), Seville (SVQ), Tenerife – North (TFS), Valencia (VLC), Palma de Mallorca (PMI) and Menorca (MAH).

TAP offers convenient connections to the United States, Canada, South America, Mexico and Africa for passengers arriving from Spain through its main hub in Lisbon (LIS).
