    TAP Air Portugal reinforces its connectivity from its secondary hub in Porto (OPO) with a new service to Angola, more flights to the United States and more convenient schedules to Brazil. In addition, the Portuguese airline will also strengthen the short- and medium-haul market with an increase in air operations and seats on selected routes.

    For the summer season, the airline will offer four long-haul services from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), with an increased offer compared to the pre-pandemic schedule.

    TAP Air Portugal Porto

    New route in Angola

    As of May 28, TAP will offer a new service between Oporto (OPO) and Luanda (LAD) with twice weekly flights on Airbus A330-900neo with a capacity of 296 seats and promotional fares are available from EUR 318 each way. This route will be complemented by the company’s daily operations between Lisbon (LIS) and the Angolan capital.

    Flight Itinerary
    • Porto – Luanda Flight TP 291 OPO 13:30 – LAD 21:35 Wednesday and Sunday.
    • Luanda – Porto Flight TP 292 LAD 23:20 – OPO 07:45+1 Wednesday and Sunday.

    By June, the company will have an offer of 5,364 weekly seats between Portugal and Angola, this represents an increase in capacity of 28.6% compared to the schedule for the 2022/2023 boreal winter season.

    Schedule changes in Brazil

    In its operations from Porto (OPO) and Brazil, the airline will offer a schedule with more convenient times for its customers, all services will be operated on Airbus A330-900neo.

    • Porto – São Paulo Flight TP 81 OPO 12:30 – GRU 19:10 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
    • São Paulo – Porto Flight TP 80 GRU 20:45 – OPO 10:50+1 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
    Flight Itinerary to Rio de Janeiro – Galeão (GIG)
    • Porto – Rio de Janeiro Flight TP 79 OPO 12:50 – GIG 19:10 Friday.
    • Porto – Rio de Janeiro Flight TP 79 OPO 12:40 – GIG 19:00 Monday.
    • Rio de Janeiro – Porto Flight TP 76 GIG 20:30 – OPO 10:30+1 Friday.
    • Rio de Janeiro – Porto Flight TP 76 GIG 20:40 – OPO 10:40+1 Monday.

    More flights to the United States

    Starting March 26, the airline increases its operations between Porto (OPO) and New York/Newark (EWR) with a daily service on Airbus A321LR and promotional fares are available from EUR 232 each way.

    • Porto – New York/Newark Flight TP 213 OPO 18:05 – EWR 21:05 daily flights.
    • New York/Newark – Porto TP Flight 212 EWR 22:50 – OPO 10:35+1 flights daily.

    For the northern summer season, TAP will offer four daily flights between Portugal and the New York metropolitan area.

    Reinforcement of the short- and medium-haul network

    In Switzerland, the company will increase its operations from Porto (OPO) to Geneva (GVA) and Zurich (ZRH) to five weekly flights. In addition, services to Paris – Orly (ORY), London – Gatwick (LGW), Luxembourg (LUX) and Funchal (FNC) will be operated on Airbus aircraft, representing a 10% increase in available seat capacity.
