Aeromexico strengthens its domestic connectivity with four new routes from Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to Colima (CLQ), Cozumel (CZM), Tepic (TPQ) from March 26, and Ciudad Victoria (CVM) from March 27. These new services add an additional 24,000 seats per month to the airline’s offering from the Mexican capital’s main airport.

This increase in the domestic market is complemented by an increase in the airline’s international operations, with the addition of new flights on routes from Guadalajara and Monterrey to Madrid, the company’s return to Asia via Japan, and new services to Rome. Aeromexico will have a network of 59 domestic and 47 international routes for the summer season.

«We are proud to announce the reactivation and start of these flights. Behind each route is an enormous effort by Mexico’s flagship airline and those who trust us. The executive added: «Expanding our country’s network generates jobs, tourism and development for the benefit of Mexicans, which is why we will also continue to connect Mexico with the World and the World with Mexico,» said José Zapata, Vice President of Sales Mexico for Grupo Aeroméxico.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), Grupo Aeromexico in 2022 mobilized 15,143,493 passengers and 36,648.5 tons of cargo nationwide in 141,398 operations. The company is the third largest cabotage operator in Mexico.

The eagle knight airline continues to increase its operations; last year it received 20 new aircraft; inaugurated 13 new routes; strengthened the connectivity of its hubs in Guadalajara and Monterrey; increased its cabotage market capacity by more than 25%; and surpassed the passengers mobilized before the pandemic, totaling almost 22 million.
