Lynx Air began flights between Calgary and Las Vegas

On February 24 Lynx Air inaugurated its non-stop operations between Calgary (YYC) and Las Vegas (LAS), the company’s fourth route in the United States. With this service, the airline will be the sixth Canadian carrier to serve Harry Reid International Airport (LAS).

Flight DAT 601 was operated on a Boeing 737 MAX with the registration C-FULH, which took off from Calgary International Airport (YYC) at 13:29 local time and landed at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at 14:57, after two hours and 21 minutes.

Las Vegas (LAS) is the fourth route to be inaugurated by the company in the United States; its current offer also includes services to Los Angeles, Orlando (MCO) and Phoenix (PHX). By the 2023 summer season, the carrier will have 5,292 weekly seats on offer between the U.S. and Canada according to data obtained through Cirium.

Flight Itinerary

• Calgary – Las Vegas Flight DAT 601 YYC 08:00 – LAS 10:10 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
• Las Vegas – Calgary Flight DAT 702 LAS 11:20 – YYC 15:17 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The route will be operated on Boeing 737-8 aircraft with a seating capacity of 189 in a single economy class configuration and promotional fares are available from USD 109 roundtrip.

According to data compiled through the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 174,061 passengers were mobilized in the period July 2021 to June 2022 between Las Vegas (LAS) and Calgary (YYC). Lynx is the third airline operator in this segment where it competes with Air Canada and WestJet.

Currently, Harry Reid International Airport (LAX) is connected with non-stop flights to Toronto – Pearson (YYZ), Montreal (YUL), Calgary (YYC), Vancouver (YVR), Edmonton (YEG), Hamilton (YHM) and Winnipeg (YWG).
