    On February 17 Delta Air Lines’ first Airbus A350-900 aircraft service landed in Lima (LIM), replacing the Boeing 767-300ER operation. The U.S. airline is the third A350 operator in the Peruvian capital.

    Flight DL 151 was operated by an Airbus A350with registration number N564DZ and formerly leased to LATAM Airlines, which took off from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) at 23:35 local time and landed at Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) at 05:26 the following day, after five hours and 51 minutes.

    According to data obtained through Cirium, the company will offer 4,746 weekly seats, which represents an increase of almost 57% compared to the previous schedule. Lima (LIM) is the company’s second destination operated by Airbus A350-900, after Santiago de Chile (SCL).

    Flight Itinerary

    • Atlanta – Lima Flight DL 151 ATL 22:45 – LIM 05:20+1 daily flight.
    • Lima – Atlanta Flight DL 150 LIM 10:15 – ATL 16:50 daily flights.

    This service will be operated in Airbus A350-900 aircraft (Ex-LATAM) with a capacity of 339 passengers in three classes (30 Delta One/63 Delta Comfort+/246 Main Cabin).

    According to data compiled through Peru’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC), 143,478 passengers were mobilized in 2022 between Atlanta (ATL) and Lima (LIM), the sixth most important market between the Peruvian capital and the United States.

    Atlanta more connected to South America

    Delta recently began its partnership with LATAM Airlines, which will strengthen connectivity between North and South America, the airline increased its service between Atlanta (ATL) and São Paulo – Guarulhos (GRU) from one to two daily flights on Airbus A330-300s during the northern winter season and reactivated its route to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) by operating it daily on Boeing 767-300ERs.

    From Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), the company also offers year-round flights to Bogotá (BOG), Buenos Aires (EZE), Santiago de Chile (SCL) and Quito (UIO). In addition, it offers 30,100 seats per week between Atlanta (ATL) and South America, a 27% increase in capacity when compared to pre-pandemic levels.
