On March 26, Aer Lingus resumed non-stop flights between Dublin (DUB) and Hartford (BDL) after three years: the route will operate seasonally during the summer season. The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) celebrated at Bradley International Airport (BDL) the restart of the European connection.

«As the only European airline operating from Hartford, we also offer a unique service to U.S. passengers, taking them directly on our non-stop service to Dublin and through our Dublin hub, connecting them to the most popular destinations in the U.K. and Europe«, said Lynne Embleton, CEO of Aer Lingus.

Flight EI 131, operated on Airbus A321LR registered EI-LRE and named «St. Lassara,» took off from Dublin Airport (DUB) at 14:28 local time and landed at Bradley International Airport (BDL) at 16:16, after six hours and 48 minutes.

Aer Lingus first flew to Hartford (BDL) in 2016 with daily service on Boeing 757s and after four years of uninterrupted operations in March 2020, the airline is suspending flights to Connecticut due to the COVID-19 health crisis. According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Central Statistics Office of Ireland, 85,137 passengers were mobilized between Dublin (DUB) and Bradley International Airport (BDL) in 2019.
