    After three years, Korean Air resumed its non-stop flights between Seoul (ICN) and Madrid (MAD) in April, 23, becoming the third East Asian airline to resume operations to the Spanish capital. This service will be complemented by the carrier’s flights to Barcelona (BCN).

    Flight KE 913 was operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner registered as HL 7208, which took off from Incheon International Airport (ICN) at 10:39 local time and landed at Adolfo Suarez International Airport (MAD) at 17:57, after 14 hours and 18 minutes.

    According to data obtained by Aviacionline through AirPortal, 85,638 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between Madrid (MAD) and Seoul – Incheon (ICN), in 373 operations. Currently, Korean Air is the only carrier to operate in this segment and is the only South Korean operator flying to destinations in Spain.

    • Seoul/Incheon – Madrid Flight KE 913 ICN 10:15 – MAD 18:00 Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
    • Madrid – Seoul/Incheon Flight KE 914 MAD 20:00 – ICN 15:50+1 Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

    The route will be operated on Boeing 787-9 aircraft with a capacity of 269 passengers in two classes (24 Business Class/245 Economy) and promotional fares are available from EUR 820 round trip. For the summer season, the airline will offer 3,766 seats per week between South Korea and Spain, according to Cirium.

    According to data compiled through Aena Statistics, Korean Air moved 187,486 passengers and 27,141.6 tons of cargo in 2019 between South Korea and Spain in 1,054 operations, making it the largest airline in the market.

    The South Korean airline has restored its European network by 87% compared to pre-pandemic levels and currently has non-stop services to Paris (CDG), London – Heathrow (LHR), Frankfurt (FRA), Amsterdam (AMS), Vienna (VIE), Milan – Malpensa (MXP), Barcelona (BCN), Rome (FCO), Budapest (BUD), Prague (PRG), Zurich (ZRH), Istanbul (IST) and Madrid (MAD).
