«For the Government of Nuevo Leon it is very important to consolidate the Monterrey airport as the Airport HUB of Northeast Mexico, so this new flight offer launched by Aerus to Matamoros and Piedras Negras, will reinforce the connections that our city has, as it will allow us to remain as a direct travel option for visitors interested in our destination«, said Maricarmen Martinez Villarreal, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Nuevo Leon.

The regional airline has the youngest fleet in Mexico. All Aerus aircraft are brand new and comply with safety protocols approved by the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC).

Aerus begins operations with five regional routes, flying from Monterrey (MTY) to Piedras Negras (PDS), Matamoros (MAM), Ciudad Victoria (CVM) and Tampico (TAM) with several daily operations. The company also provides weekly service between Tampico (TAM) and Matamoros (MAM). All of the airline’s flights are operated in 9-passenger Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft.

«We know there is a demand for regional routes that were not being met, so we want to offer convenient schedules and even daily return on each route we operate«, said Javier Herrera, Aerus CEO.
