The new cabin will be the result of the evolution of the low-cost carrier’s existing upper class.

From the end of this year, Flydubai will introduce the new VUE seats, developed by Safran Seats, a leading manufacturer of such products, onboard its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The redesign process also involved JPA Design, a company specialising in interior design products.

The new cabins will have a 1-1 seating configuration. This means that all passengers will have access to the aisle. Each suite will have a seat that converts into a 75-inch-long bed. They will also offer greater privacy thanks to the implementation of partition panels.

All spaces will have a 17.3-inch IFE screen with 4K resolution. In addition, they will offer positions for wireless charging of devices and AC, USB A and USB C sockets.

«We have come a long way since the introduction of our first Business Class offering in 2013, which has served us well», said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai. «Today, we are proud to unveil a new premium product which rivals the Business Class experience offered by many airlines on wide-body aircraft», he noted.

«We have been working with Safran Seats and JPA Design over the past three years to develop an experience that meets the growing demand for premium air travel services across our network, offering passengers wide-body comfort on our narrow-body fleet», remarked Daniel Kerrison, the company’s VP of Inflight Product
