Brazilian Air Force sends an A330 to Israel to rescue Brazilian citizens

The first airplane sent by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) to rescue Brazilians in Israel is already in flight.

The jet in question is an Airbus A330-200 (KC-30) that can carry up to 242 passengers, but will have a maximum capacity of rescued individuals for this mission of 230, since the FAB is sending, in addition to the crew, military medics and psychologists to support the passengers.

With the registration FAB2901, the plane took off yesterday from Brasilia, spent the night in Natal, and then left late in the afternoon for Rome, in Italy. There, the crew will rest and await instructions from the Brazilian Embassy in Tel Aviv, before heading to the Israeli city to rescue Brazilians.

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that more than 1,000 Brazilians have already expressed interest in leaving the country, which was attacked by Hamas Palestinian terrorists from the Gaza Strip. At least two Brazilians are missing at this time and may have been kidnapped by terrorists from Palestine.

The departure date of the A330 and whether more planes will be sent is still unclear, but the FAB will provide updates soon.
