    More flights in Austin

Delta will operate 11 new peak-day flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) starting April 22, 2024. These new routes include services to Midland-Odessa and McAllen, Texas. Additionally, the airline will strengthen the service connecting Austin with Cincinnati and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, with an additional flight.

The world’s second-largest airline will solidify Austin Airport as the gateway to and from the state of Texas. With the addition of these 11 new flights, Delta will offer customers flying to and from Midland-Odessa and McAllen connections to almost fifty non-stop flights to 15 airports across the U.S.

These fifteen cities include Delta’s major hubs, as well as attractive destinations such as Las Vegas and Orlando. Through other connections, passengers can access Delta Air Lines’ extensive network of domestic and international flights. Additionally, Delta’s partners in AUS provide additional global connectivity with non-stop services to Mexico City (MEX) and Amsterdam (AMS).

Joe Esposito, S.V.P. of Delta – Network Planning, stated that «this expansion not only creates a gateway to diverse opportunities for business, leisure, and cultural exploration spanning Texas and beyond, but also solidifies Delta’s commitment to being a key player in Austin’s evolving landscape.»

Delta expands offerings in Texas for summer 2024

Delta will increase seat capacity by 12% during peak days for its summer schedule across the state of Texas, emphasizing its commitment to growth and enhanced connectivity in key regions.

Dallas will see additional flights from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport (DFW) to Boston (BOS) and LaGuardia (LGA), these routes began operating in the fall of 2023. Additionally, Delta will inaugurate new service to Seattle (SEA) starting July 8, 2024. In July 2023, Delta expanded service to Dallas Love Field (DAL) with new service to Los Angeles (LAX).

The carrier maintains robust year-round service to George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (IAH), San Antonio (SAT), El Paso (ELP), and Houston Hobby (HOU), complemented by seasonal flights to Harlingen (HRL).

    Increased offerings in Miami

Delta will increase seat capacity from Miami (MIA) by 27% compared to the summer of 2023, as the airline strives to become the preferred airline in South Florida.

The airline will add more flights to Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), New York-JFK, New York-LGA, and Orlando (MCO). Last month, the company inaugurated a new route to Washington, D.C. (DCA). In total, Delta offers about 1,300 additional seats per day from MIA.

Luciano Macagno, General Manager of Delta for Latin America, the Caribbean, and South Florida, noted that «Delta takes its presence in Miami and throughout South Florida very seriously, and we are demonstrating this through new partnerships and network improvements, a first-class experience for customers at the airport, and sincere engagement and investment in the community.»
