Delta expands network in Brazil, adds new flights to Rio de Janeiro
Delta Air Lines is expanding its network to Latin America with the resumption of non-stop service to Rio de Janeiro from Atlanta and New York JFK, thanks to its partnership with LATAM Airlines.
Flight DL61 from Atlanta to Rio de Janeiro will be available year-round, departing Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport at 19:30 and landing at Antônio Carlos Jobim International Airport at 07:15 the following day. The return DL60 departs Rio de Janeiro at 09:15 and arrives in Atlanta at 17:15.
Service DL245 will operate seasonally until 21 February 2024 departing John F, Kennedy International Airport at 18:10 and landing at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport at 06:15 the following day. The return DL244 departs Rio de Janeiro at 10:15 and arrives at New York JFK at 18:25.
Both services are operated on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft seating 216 passengers in three classes (26 Delta One/18 Delta Premium Select/172 Main Cabin). Delta’s new routes will complement the airline’s three daily flights to Sao Paulo from Atlanta and New York JFK. In total, the airline will have five daily flights and a total of 17,726 seats per week between the U.S. and Brazil, the largest schedule in Delta’s 26-year history in Brazil,
