The new Airbus A320  will join the existing fleet in service to the airline’s customers at Glasgow: the airline continues to boost Scotland’s connectivity by providing 86 routes across 19 countries in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

The low-cost carrier has scheduled a new service to Enfidha, Tunisia, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the year. Last week, easyJet launched a new route to Larnaca (Cyprus), which will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer season.

Both routes will give Scottish customers more travel options for their summer vacations and explore more cities. The company offers promotional fares from £39.99 through easyJet’s regular channels.

“We are delighted to welcome the sixth aircraft to our fleet in Glasgow today and to launch more new routes for what will be our biggest summer ever in Scotland. We are proud to have carried more than 42 million passengers to and from Glasgow, demonstrating our continued success and commitment to our Scottish customers, who continue to choose us for our unrivaled network, fantastic service and great fares,” said Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager.

“It has been almost 30 years since the first easyJet flight landed in Glasgow and, in the years since, the relationship between the airline and the airport has gone from strength to strength. Today we welcome the addition of a sixth aircraft to the easyJet fleet at Glasgow, a significant investment that underlines the airline’s commitment to the growth of our airport,” said Mark Beveridge, Managing Director of Glasgow Airport.

Since easyJet’s first flight from Glasgow to London Luton almost 30 years ago, the low cost airline has flown more than 42 million passengers from the airport and a record 7 million passengers to and from Scotland throughout its 2023 financial year.
