The state airline Boliviana de Aviación (BoA) has played a key role in the transport of vaccines against COVID-19 to Bolivia, so its level of training in this aspect has led it to analyze offering its services to other countries.

In statements made to BoliviaTV last week, which were picked up by Prensa Latina, the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade, Benjamin Blanco, said that «countries like Paraguay are expectant to BoA’s work to be able to transport their vaccines,» but this would be possible «once the internal needs of the Plurinational State have been met.»

Blanco also highlighted that BoA has made steps in recent months that allowed it to operate for the first time in places such as Moscow, Beijing, Seoul and Mumbai to transport vaccines.

The arrival of one million Sinopharm vaccines and 17.6 tons of medical supplies from Beijing is expected this week, in addition to 100,000 doses of Sputnik V that were received last week.
