Avianca Holdings has appointed Gabriel Oliva as Executive Vice President and Head of the airline’s Cargo unit. Likewise, he will be responsible for Deprisa -Avianca’s e-commerce logistics platform- and will have a seat on the management team of the Holding.

We will be able to build and execute a long-term strategy that positions Avianca Cargo as a leader in the region, contributing to the strategic objectives of the holding,” Oliva commented.
Oliva has more than 20 years of experience in executive positions in various industries, and more than 10 in the aeronautical sector. In his most recent role, he held the position of Senior Vice President for North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific at LATAM Cargo.
“We welcome Gabriel. Undoubtedly, Avianca Cargo has enormous relevance because it represents a relevant percentage of our income and has consequently grown in its participation. At this time, in which we are rethinking ourselves, we are convinced that we need a long-term strategy for Cargo because we want to be the segment leaders in the sector and we count on the arrival of Gabriel to contribute to this purpose ”, said Adrian Neuhauser, President, and CEO of Avianca Holdings.
Oliva, an industrial engineer from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and has an MBA from Harvard Business School, will assume his position as of August 18, 2021.
