Condor will add, as of November 11, 2021, a new destination on the U.S. soil to its operations. The German airline will fly from Frankfurt to JFK on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Ralf Teckentrup, Condor’s CEO, said in a statement that «following the announcement of the relaxation of entry restrictions to the U.S. for vaccinated EU citizens, the demand to the country increased enormously. New York is the most popular destination in the U.S. We are looking forward to bringing families and friends together again.»

Condor already flies four times a week to Seattle on the U.S. West Coast. From there it offers connections to more than 30 destinations through its alliance with Alaska Airlines. Now, «with our flights to New York we will expand and allow our passengers to travel all along the East Coast to Florida,» Teckentrup added.

Condor’s New York flights will be operated on the company’s 767-300ER aircraft offering 2,590 seats per week. Condor will compete on this route with Delta, which operates one daily flight on its A330-200s offering 3,276 seats per week, and Lufthansa, which operates two daily flights on A330-300s and B747-8i (5,482 seats per week).

Entry into the U.S. requires a full vaccination with a WHO-certified vaccine and a negative COVID-19 test performed no later than 72 hours prior to boarding.
