Cuba is one of the preferred destinations for European tourists in the Caribbean, in recent years competition has intensified between the Caribbean country to Spain, with operators such as Iberia, Air Europa, Iberojet, Wamos Air, Cubana de Aviación and now World2fly joins them. Due to health restrictions the market between both nations has barely recovered 15.59% with respect to 2019 levels.

The airline’s initial strategy is to serve the most demanded sun and beach destinations in the Caribbean in the first phase. In August 2021, World2fly received permits from the Department of Transportation (DOT) to operate scheduled, charter and cargo flights to the United States.
