Binter Canarias announces changes in its international network for the winter season

Binter Canarias increases its operations to Africa, Madeira, and some European routes for the winter season, boosting its international connectivity.

Return to Morocco destination   

Binter reinforces its operations in Morocco and from December 5, 2021, resumes operations between the Canary Islands and Marrakech (RAK). After the relaxation of health restrictions, the airline resumes operations on this route.

Aviacionline data obtained through Aena Statistics indicate that 111,328 passengers were carried during 2019 between the Canary Islands and Morocco, while this year, measured up to September, a total of 33,720 passengers have been transported, a 69.71% decrease compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Binter will link Marrakech (RAK) through its base in Gran Canaria (LPA), with the subsequent itinerary:

  • Gran Canaria – Marrakech NT6204 LPA 10:15 – RAK 13:15 a weekly flight on Sunday.
  • Marrakech – Gran Canaria NT6205 RAK 14:00 – LPA 15:10 a weekly flight on Sunday.
    More flights to Senegal

Binter will increase the number of operations between the Canary Islands and Senegal, the flight has the following itinerary:

  • Gran Canaria – Dakar NT6604 LPA 23:45 – DSS 02:15+1 two weekly flights on Monday and Thursday.
  • Dakar – Gran Canaria NT6605 DSS 03:00 – DSS 05:20 two weekly flights on Mondays and Thursdays.

The new schedule will connect Dakar (DSS) with Venice (VCE), Murcia (RMU), and Mallorca (PMI) via a stopover in Gran Canaria (LPA).

Increasing connectivity with Madeira

The company also reactivates its connections between the Canary Islands and Madeira: as of November 2, 2021, it recovers its operation with Tenerife (TFS), two days a week with direct connections. The company will offer a total of 8 weekly flights to the Portuguese archipelago. The connections with Tenerife (TFS) will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Changes in connections on European routes

Starting in early December, the airline will reschedule the itineraries to the European cities of Venice (VCE) and Marseille (MRS).

Flight itineraries:

  • Gran Canaria – Venice NT9400 LPA 10:20 – VCE 15:35 two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Venice – Gran Canaria NT9401 VCE 16:25 – LPA 20:05 two flights a week on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Gran Canaria – Marseille NT9500 LPA 12:50 – MRS 17:20 one flight a week on Wednesday.
  • Marseille – Gran Canaria NT9501 MRS 18:10 – LPA 21:05 one flight a week on Wednesday.
