Binter took delivery of its new ATR 72-600 last Friday. It was named Virgen de Las Nieves in homage to the inhabitants of the island of La Palma. This comes in a year in which its inhabitants suffered severe material damage to their homes due to the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano.
The aircraft carries the registration EC-NQR and allows to complete the delivery of the order started in 2015.
«We continue to invest and commit to the renewal of our operating equipment to keep improving the service we provide to our customers. We have recently signed with the aeronautical manufacturer ATR for the acquisition of five new 72-600 model aircraft, with an option for more units», stated the airline.
«At Binter we currently operate one of the largest fleets of this aircraft in the world, as we have 23 aircraft of this model ATR 72-600, to provide services on inter-island routes», they added.
