Azul Cargo Express, a company of Azul Linhas Aéreas specialized in cargo transportation within Brazil, and FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp announced an alliance to take advantage of two of the main expertise of their operations: the national reach of Azul Cargo Express stores and the international shipping structure of FedEx Express.
The synergy between the two companies will allow the Azul Cargo Express retail network to also become FedEx Authorized Shipping Centers (FASCs). Using the Brazilian company’s national coverage of stores, those interested in shipping abroad will be able to use FedEx Express services.
More than half of the company’s 260 stores will offer overseas courier service. With this, FedEx is expected to have more than 300 FASCs in Brazil, doubling its coverage. The service began to be implemented in the first points in October.

Gustavo Kornitz, Director of Marketing at FedEx Express for Brazil, commented that the arrival of Azul Cargo Express stores to the FedEx Express retail network is part of the company’s efforts to expand coverage in the country and offer more convenience and access to customers.
