Spirit began operations to Cali and Barranquilla

Yesterday, November 17, the U.S. airline began daily operations from Miami on Airbus A320-200 aircraft, configured with 182 seats, to Barranquilla, and on Airbus A319 aircraft, with a capacity for 145 passengers, to Cali.

Colombia’s authorities have focused on strengthening relations with several operators to open new routes, as part of the process of recovering international connectivity.

Colombia currently has 39 new routes approved for regular operators, 9 new routes in connectivity, increased frequency on 19 routes, 3 new operators, and 2 in the process of certification.

Furthermore, Spirit Airlines has reinforced Miami as its new hub to Latin America, where it operates flights to Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Honduras, among others.

The airline currently operates 500 flights to 67 destinations in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
