Alaska Airlines has informed that it will reduce its flights by 10% during January as a consequence of the outbreak of cases caused by the Omicron strain.

In this respect, the company’s management said in a press release that “the arrival of the Omicron mutation has directly impacted our operations, with a large number of infected employees, and we are working to gradually return to a normal level of operations”.

“We have to resume flying in the safest and most sanitary way, supporting operations during this flight reduction. Therefore, these actions provide flexibility and time to redefine travel policies and for our passengers to readjust their travel plans,” concluded Alaska Airlines.
