Latam announced that due to the number of reported contagions among its crews, it has opted for the cancellation of 14% of its scheduled operations until February 28 as a measure to protect customers.
Therefore, the routes most affected by this measure are the connections to and from Bogota to Medellin, Cali, and Cartagena, as well as the route Cali – Cartagena – Cali.
In light of this situation, the airline invited all passengers to check the status of their flights in the different channels of attention such as website, app, and social networks. In addition, passengers should prioritize flight self-management through digital channels due to the high number of calls to its Contact Center, which makes it difficult to provide adequate attention.
Regarding the flexibilities for those passengers affected, Latam confirmed that travelers will be able to request the refund of their ticket, without penalties; change of date without penalty (during the validity of the ticket), and change of route (subject to the condition of the fare).
