Tocumen International Airport was distinguished by Cirium as one of the most punctual airports in the world, with an index of 91.3% after assessing its punctuality performance at a global level during the past year.
The on-time performance report of the firm specialized in aeronautical sector analysis is the standard for the operational performance of airlines and air terminals. This worldwide recognition is awarded to companies and airports that have demonstrated outstanding on-time performance.

Between January and November 2021, Tocumen International Airport recorded 78,381 aircraft operations between departures and arrivals and reported that 19 commercial airlines resumed operations with direct flights to 68 destinations in 31 countries in the Americas, the Caribbean, and Europe.
Cirium restarted its reporting in June 2021, when flight volumes returned, with regular monthly updates that help gauge the industry’s performance in getting passengers from one point to another on time.
Cirium’s on-time performance analysis is based on operations data from more than 600 real-time flight information sources. In addition, the company collects data from more than 25 million flights.
