Wingo to operate flights between Medellin and Santo Domingo

Wingo announced today Jan 12, the launch of its fourth international route from Medellín (MDE), which will connect it with Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, starting on March 28.

The low-cost carrier will operate two weekly flights and fares start at USD 194 round trip, including taxes and fees.

Flight P5 7420 will be leaving José María Córdova airport on Mondays at 5:24 PM and arriving in Santo Domingo at 8:57 PM after 2 hours and 33 minutes of flight time. The return as P5 7421 will be at 9:57 PM, arriving in Medellin at 11:30 PM.

On Thursdays the flight will depart Medellin at 8:35 PM, arriving in Santo Domingo at 0:08 AM the following day. The return flight will be at 1:08 AM to arrive in Medellin at 2:41 AM.

In this way, the Dominican capital joins Panama, Cancun, and Punta Cana as the international destinations served from Medellin, which further consolidates its position as the low-cost carrier with the largest international network in Colombia, reaching 20 routes in this segment (complemented by nine domestic routes).
