Allegiant announced new routes for spring 2022, focusing its expansion on the states of Texas, California, Georgia and Tennessee. The low-cost carrier will have fares starting at USD 39 each way.
«These new routes will increase our presence in Austin, where we recently opened a base, while connecting travelers in some of the smaller cities we serve with several popular vacation destinations such as Nashville, Savannah, Roanoke, and San Diego,09» said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s Senior Vice President of Revenue and Planning.
New Routes
Austin, Texas (AUS)
- Sarasota, Florida (SRQ) beginning April 14, with twice-weekly flights.
- San Diego, California (SAN) beginning April 20, with two flights per week.
- Washington Dulles (IAD) starting April 21, with two flights weekly.
Nashville, Tennessee (BNA)
- Providence, Rhode Island (PVD) beginning April 21, with two flights weekly.
- Roanoke, Virginia (ROA) beginning April 21, with two flights weekly.
- Washington Dulles (IAD) starting April 21, with two flights weekly.
San Diego, California (SAN)
- Sioux Falls, South Dakota (FSD) beginning May 19, with twice-weekly service.
Orange County, California (SNA)
- Des Moines, Iowa (DSM) beginning April 14, with twice-weekly service.
Savannah, Georgia (SAV)
- Flint, Michigan (FNT) beginning April 15, with two flights weekly.
Austin (AUS) continues to be an attractive market for airlines to expand operations from Texas both domestically and internationally. In addition to Allegiant’s expansion, other carriers such as Southwest and American Airlines have increased their operations from Bergstrom Airport (AUS).
Allegiant recently placed an order for Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to renew its fleet and is in the process of materializing a Joint Venture with Viva Aerobus to increase connectivity between the United States and Mexico.
