The tour operator Jet2, owner of the Jet2.com airline and the Jet2Holidays tourism group, noted a 30% increase in bookings following the relaxation of the British government’s health restrictions. One of the most benefited markets is Spain, the preferred tourist destination for UK residents.
Jet2.com is one of the main foreign leisure operators in Spain, with services at 14 Spanish airports. According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas, in 2019 the company moved 8,037,841 passengers and more than 63 tons of cargo in 44,477 air operations.
For the boreal summer season, Jet2.com will offer 4,143,968 seats, representing an increase of 0.92% over pre-pandemic levels.
Palma de Mallorca (PMI) is the destination with the largest offer, where the company will offer 401,368 seats and has connections from Belfast (BFS), Birmingham (BHX), Bristol (BRS), East Midland (EMA), Edinburgh (EDI), Glasgow (GLA), Leeds (LBA), Manchester (MAN), Newcastle (NCL) and London Stansted (STN).
