Neos to operate cargo flights to Sao Paulo with Boeing 787-9

Neos will have cargo flights to Sao Paulo with a Boeing 787-9 between March and April. Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) will then receive 11 cargo flights from the Italian airline, a subsidiary of Alpitour S.p.A.

As reported by our partner site Aeroin, these non-scheduled operations are aimed at importing electronic products and shipping fruit to Europe.

Operations will be carried out with Boeing 787-9 passenger aircraft adapted to transport cargo on the main deck, also taking advantage of the space in the holds.

As per the route, it will always be Milan – Guarulhos and vice versa. The schedule states that flights will depart from the Italian city on March 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 15, 19, 22, 26, and 29.  And on April 2 and 5. Arrival in Sao Paulo is scheduled for the following day in the early hours of the morning. Departure again to Milan is scheduled for 08:20 AM.

The cargo flight schedules, as usual, are subject to change and it should be noted that the contractors are not publicly known.

Neos was born in June 2001 and was able to obtain the Air Carrier certificate on March 7, 2002, through the Italian National Civil Aviation Agency.

Its flights have 2 modes: charter and scheduled, mainly to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Its fleet consists of 6 Boeing 737-800, 4 Boeing 737 MAX, and 6 Boeing 787-9. The 737s have 186 seats in a single class while the 787s have 359 seats in 2 different classes.
