SmartLynx joins as a new Boeing 737 MAX operator

SmartLynx signed an agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital for the lease of 2 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to meet the growing demand of the European and foreign market.

This fruitful partnership between SmartLynx and one of the world’s largest lessors will automatically start aircraft deliveries for the European carrier.

The strategic expansion of the Boeing fleet within SmartLynx allows the company to build a reliable fleet that will ensure greater product and service delivery and improved versatility.

The greater reach generated by having a Boeing 737 MAX 8 opens up new market opportunities for the airline and its customers:

SMBC Aviation Capital

SMBC Aviation Capital is one of the world’s leading aircraft operating leasing companies. It will also be the first lessor to support SmartLynx with 737 MAX 8 model aircraft.

The first two SmartLynx Boeing 737 MAX 8s will join the fleet in April. While more are expected to be added by next European summer. Seeking to ensure successful deliveries, SmartLynx has also established a partnership with the North American manufacturer. This agreement will provide full support during the servicing process with its aircraft.

The 737 MAX 8 is the first Boeing aircraft to return to SmartLynx Airlines operations after a 10-year hiatus. In addition, the search for experienced crew members for the new leased aircraft model is already underway.
