Spirit Airlines continues with its expansion plans in Honduras. Since February 2 it started operations on the Fort Lauderdale (FLL) – Tegucigalpa (XPL) route with daily flights and fares starting at USD 149 round trip. The Low-Cost airline will offer three destinations to Palmerola Airport (XPL), more than any other U.S. airline.

Data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Spirit will offer 6,034 seats per week to Tegucigalpa (XPL) between Miami (MIA), Houston (IAH), and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). It is the largest U.S. airline with the largest seat capacity to Palmerola Airport (XPL).
Spirit Airlines has become the largest international carrier in Honduras, offering two destinations in the Central American country. From San Pedro Sula (SAP) the company offers more than 21 weekly flights and five destinations including Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Houston (IAH), Miami (MIA), Orlando (MCO), and New Orleans (MSY).
