Alaska Airlines and Air Tahiti Nui announce new partnership, the South Pacific carrier for the fall starts new service to the West Coast of the United States, now customers of both airlines will benefit from more travel options.
New connection from Pacific to Seattle
Starting October 4, Air Tahiti Nui will begin new nonstop service from Alaska Airlines’ main hub in Seattle – Tacoma (SEA) to Papeete (PPT), travelers will have the ability to visit other islands in French Polynesia.

Flight Itinerary
Starting October 4
- Papeete, Tahiti (PPT) 22:00 – Seattle (SEA) 10:25+1 Tuesday & Saturday
From October 5
- Seattle (SEA) 12:40 – Papeete, Tahiti (PPT) 19:30 Wednesday and Sunday
Flights will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 294 seats in three classes (30 Business Class/32 Premium Economy/232 Economy).
Air Tahiti Nui offers nonstop direct service between Papeete (PPT) and Los Angeles (LAX), a major hub for Alaska Airlines on the West Coast, plus customers of the Seattle-based carrier will have the option of connecting to the South Pacific carrier’s flight to Paris (CDG) from Los Angeles (LAX).
Beginning April 1, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members can earn miles on all Air Tahiti Nui flights. Mileage redemption for the South Pacific carrier’s flights is expected to be available later this spring.
