Flybe Ltd will go on sale on March 22nd. By then it will publish the list of destinations, frequencies, and low fares for its two initial UK bases.
The airline announced Birmingham (BHX) as its new home and crew base in November last year, now it has unveiled a second main base of operations in Belfast (BHD).
Flybe has plans to grow rapidly by creating more jobs and adding more flights as demand evolves during the northern summer season.
In 2019 the company offered a total of 4,393,012 seats on 56,216 air operations. It had 80.5% of the market share in Belfast (BHD). Source: Cirium. Now, with the rebirth of the airline, it will compete with Aer Lingus Regional in Northern Ireland’s capital.
«Next week will be an exciting time for customers and communities. They have been waiting for news from us on low fares, new routes, and new destinations. All of them will be timed to coincide with the restart of the economy and a return to normality after two difficult years,» said Dave Pflieger, Flybe CEO.
«Once we start flying from Birmingham, Belfast, and many other UK and EU cities, we are confident that a new and improved Flybe will provide customers with great value. This will allow them to go on vacation and easily visit clients or attend important meetings» added Pflieger.
Flybe will begin operations on DHC Dash 8-400 aircraft and expects to expand its fleet to 32 units of this model.
