Singapore Airlines brings the Airbus A380 back to the U.S. and expands flights to New York City

Singapore Airlines continues to increase its presence in the New York metropolitan area, bringing back the Airbus A380 and the two longest flights in the world.

A380 back to the Big Apple

Singapore Airlines increases capacity on one of its most iconic routes between Singapore (SIN) – Frankfurt (FRA) – New York (JFK) by replacing the Boeing 777-300ER with the superjumbo A380 with a capacity of 471 passengers including the airline’s new cabins configured with 6 seats in First Class, 78 in Business Class, 44 in Premium Economy and 343 in Economy.

Singapore Airlines leads in ultra-long-haul flights

For the summer season, the airline will offer two daily non-stop flights from Singapore to New York from John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), which it currently offers once daily and brings back the world’s longest flight to Newark (EWR) with a distance of more than 15,000 kilometers and a duration of 18 hours and 25 minutes, both flights will be operated on Airbus A350-900ULR with 161 seats in two classes (67 Business Class/94 Premium Economy).

Singapore Airlines increases its presence in North America

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, for the summer season Singapore Airlines will have an offer of 30,714 seats per week in North America across seven destinations on almost 9 daily flights, exceeding pre-epidemic levels, the schedule is as follows:

  • Singapore (SIN) – Frankfurt (FRA) – New York (JFK) daily flights on Airbus A380.
  • Singapore (SIN) – Manchester (MAN) – Houston (IAH) four times a week on Airbus A350-900.
  • Singapore (SIN) – Tokyo Narita (NRT) – Los Angeles (LAX) daily flights on Boeing 777-300ER.
  • Singapore (SIN) – New York (JFK) daily flights on Airbus A350-900ULR.
  • Singapore (SIN) – Newark (EWR) daily flights on Airbus A350-900ULR.
  • Singapore (SIN) – Los Angeles (LAX) 10 times weekly on Airbus A350-900.
  • Singapore (SIN) – Seattle (SEA) three times weekly on Airbus A350-900.
  • Singapore (SIN) – San Francisco (SFO) twice daily on Airbus A350-900.
  • Singapore (SIN) – Vancouver (YVR) three times weekly on Airbus A350-900.
