Spirit Airlines announces expansion from Las Vegas with five new routes

Spirit announced a new expansion from Las Vegas (LAS) with five new routes, including destinations to three new markets. Data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium the company will have a supply of more than 85,000 seats per week on more than 900 air operations.

“Announcing three new markets is an exciting milestone for Spirit Airlines and our guests as we offer more high-value options for travel between the bright lights of Las Vegas and the wide variety of beautiful places to visit in New Mexico, Idaho, and northern Nevada,” said John Kirby, vice president of network planning for Spirit Airlines.

The low-cost carrier will increase its Las Vegas presence with 41 nonstop destinations and up to 75 flights on busier days. This total represents an annual increase of nearly 30% of Spirit’s service to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). Customers traveling on the new routes will have the opportunity to make connections through Spirit’s route network.

“Spirit Airlines, the second busiest carrier with the most Las Vegas activity in 2021, continues to invest in the Las Vegas market and provide opportunities for travelers to experience this world-class destination,” said Chris Jones, director of marketing for Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS).
