Binter Canarias has announced for its summer schedule the launch of five new international and domestic destinations that reinforce the connectivity of the Canary Islands with Europe, West Africa, and the national territory.
The airline will also resume several suspended services and increase frequencies in existing destinations, Binter will carry out the largest summer schedule in its history, with 13 additional routes compared to last year and up to 200 weekly direct flights between the Canary Islands and 31 airports nationally and internationally.
New routes
As of July 2, Binter has scheduled a weekly frequency to three new destinations of great tourist attraction in Italy, Morocco, and the Azores.
Italy
The airline will introduce a new service to Florence (FLR) that will operate on Saturdays, departing from Gran Canaria (LPA) at 09:30 hours and returning from the Italian city at 15:30 hours.
With this new destination, Binter will offer three destinations in Italy, the company currently offers flights to Turin (TRN) and Venice (VCE). According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas in 2019, 193,990 passengers were mobilized in 1,267 air operations between Gran Canaria (LPA) and Italy.
Azores
Operations from Ponta Delgada (PDL) will be on Saturdays, with takeoff from Gran Canaria (LPA) at 08:30 hours and return from the Azores capital at 10:30 hours.
With this new route, Binter increases its offer to Portugal to two destinations, the airline currently offers flights to Madeira (FNC) three times a week. According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas in 2019, 7,659 passengers and 490 kilograms of cargo were mobilized in 135 air operations between Gran Canaria (LPA) and Ponta Delgada (PDL).
Morocco
Binter will introduce a second destination to Morocco to Fez (FEZ) which will operate on Saturdays, departing from Gran Canaria (LPA) at 11:30 am and returning at 3:15 pm.
New domestic destinations and additional frequencies
From July 1st, Binter will start flying to Valladolid (VLL) with a weekly frequency (Fridays), departing from Gran Canaria (LPA) at 16:05 hours and returning at 20:15 hours.
On Fridays there will also be flights to Menorca (MAH), departing from Gran Canaria (LPA) at 08:30 hours and returning from the Balearic island at 13:20 hours.
During the summer schedule, the company will also bring back flights between Gran Canaria (LPA) and Jerez de la Frontera (XRY), which will operate on Mondays and Thursdays with departure from the Canary Islands at 15:30 hours and return at 19:30 hours. These services are in addition to the frequencies that the airline offers with Tenerife – North (TFN) and Ciudad de la Laguna on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In addition, as of June 17th, Binter will increase its flights to Pamplona (PNA) and the Canary Islands with a new frequency on Fridays, departing from the Canary Islands at 08:30 hours and returning from the Navarrese capital at 13:10 hours.
Recovery of routes to Africa
With the relaxation of sanitary measures, Binter will resume several services to West Africa and from June 23rd, flights to Banjul, Gambia (BJL) will be recovered every Thursday departing from Gran Canaria at 23:00 hours and returning at 01:40 hours on Friday.
In addition, on July 5 it will resume operations to Sal Island, Cape Verde (SID) every Tuesday from Gran Canaria at 23:00 hours and return at 00:35 hours on Wednesday.
