Condor, Germany’s second largest airline by fleet size and passengers carried, unveiled its new brand identity. The new colourful striped livery on the airline’s aircraft, which specialises in the leisure travel market, is inspired by objects associated with holidays, such as beach umbrellas or beach towels.
There will be five new designs: Condor Island (green stripes), Condor Sunshine (orange stripes), Condor Sea (blue stripes), Condor Passion (red stripes) and Condor Beach (sand-coloured stripes).
According to the company, the colours represent the diversity of its travellers, staff and «opportunities to discover the world».
The design of the new brand identity was under the direction of creative director Remo Masala. «Our goal was to give Condor a special visual distinctive, whose identity was linked to the essence of the Condor brand», he said. In that sense, he highlighted the new visual identity’s reference to «holidays, summer, joy and freedom».
…und so wird die erste #A330neo WIRKLICH aussehen. 😍
Mission: #Urlaub. Dresscode: #Streifen. Denn Condor ist Urlaub. Und Urlaub ist gestreift! ⛱

As part of the global renewal, the logo was adapted to the new identity the company intends to communicate. The initial capital lettering was removed and black lettering was adopted, with a more compact design.
Crew uniforms and accessories, the company’s image at airports and the visual appearance of the company’s digital channels will gradually adopt Condor’s new corporate image. In the coming weeks, in-flight items, boarding passes, terminal signage and staff identification cards will be renewed.
The new aircraft livery was unveiled for the first time in Toulouse, on an Airbus A330-900 that will be delivered to the German airline shortly and will sport the green stripe.
The first aircraft to wear the new livery in a commercial operation will be an Airbus A321, registration D-AIAD. It will fly for the first time with its new yellow stripe livery to Lanzarote on April 5th. Condor expects to repaint 80% of its fleet by 2024.
Very bold and catchy livery. Condor have done away with the usual horizontal cheat lines and traditional Eurowhite liveries for something that will certainly standout on an airport apron!
I welcome liveries which aren’t just plain white with a logo… it’ll be awesome once they adapt their soft product & service pulling the deck chair and beach towel inspired branding onboard the aircraft. ????
