Eastern Airlines resumes flights to Asunción

In late 2021 Eastern Airlines suspended its flights to Asunción. After a year with many changes in the schedule, the airline decided to cancel operations just at the beginning of the high season.

Asunción was one of Eastern’s three destinations in the United States. Nearly a month after the cessation of the Paraguayan capital, Montevideo stopped receiving the company’s services, leaving Guayaquil as its only regular route.

According to Eastern’s announcement, the airline will resume flights between Miami and Asunción starting July 8th. For now, Eastern Airlines will have one weekly frequency with the 244-seat Boeing 767-300(ER).

Paraguay will have a non-stop connection to the United States for the first time in 2022.
