Frontier Airlines launches new flights from Providence and Raleigh-Durham

Frontier Airlines continues to expand from the East Coast of the United States with the launch of new routes from Providence, Rhode Island (PVD) and Raleigh – Durham (RDU) increasing its seat capacity at these airports during the summer of 2022.

New routes from Raleigh – Durham

Yesterday Thursday (April 28), Frontier launched three new routes at RDU to destinations in the states of New York and Rhode Island with promotional fares starting at USD 49. According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium for the summer season the airline will offer 25,296 seats per week on 68 weekly flights at Raleigh – Durham and will become the airline with the fifth highest ASK (Seats per Kilometer Offered) capacity.

“We are excited to grow from Raleigh-Durham International Airport,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president commercial, Frontier Airlines.

“We are very committed to serving the greater Raleigh-Durham community and currently serve 22 destinations from RDU, giving area consumers a wide variety of destinations to travel to with our signature low fares and friendly service,” added Shurz.

  • Providence (PVD) Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Islip, New York (ISP) Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
  • Syracuse, New York (SYR) Thursday and Sunday.

All flights will be operated on 186-seat Airbus A320neo aircraft in a single configuration.

New destinations from Providence

Yesterday, Thursday (April 28), Frontier launched a new destination from Providence, Rhode Island (PVD) to Denver (DEN) with three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) operated on Airbus A320neo and promotional fares starting at USD 139.

“We are very committed to serving the greater Rhode Island community and are thrilled to provide new nonstop service to these two highly desirable destinations, combined with our trademark low fares and friendly service,” added Shurz.

Data compiled by Aviacionline through Cirium during the 2022 summer boreal season, Frontier from Providence (PVD) will offer 7,440 seats per week on 40 weekly flights, the low-cost carrier will also offer destinations to Atlanta (ATL), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO), Raleigh – Durham (RDU) and Tampa (TPA).
