Transporte Aéreo Guatemalteco (TAG) Airlines inaugurated three destinations to Mexico: Mérida (MID), Oaxaca (OAX) and Tuxtla Gutiérrez (TGZ), which join the current operations to Cancun (CUN) and Tapachula (TAP), being the company with the largest offer of destinations between the Aztec country and Guatemala.
The Guatemalan airline began the largest international expansion of its more than 60-year legacy, inaugurating 6 routes between Mexico and Guatemala in less than a year, maximizing the flow of tourism.
TAG’s CEO, Julio Gamero, pointed out that it will strengthen the air connectivity of the Maya World, boosting the aviation industry and tourism for economic growth.
In addition to the five destinations mentioned above, the company is considering expanding its offer of cities in the southwest of Mexico by adding Huatulco to its network of destinations.
