Malta-based aviation group Airhub Aviation added an Airbus A330-343 to its fleet: the aircraft, registration 9H-AHQ, will complement the company’s services in the ACMI market (provision of aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance). Corendon Airlines will be the first operator to contract it.
The aircraft has the manufacturer’s serial number 1754. At five years old, it is the youngest one in the fleet.
Airhub Aviation announced a new strategic partnership with Corendon, the Turkish operator specialized in the tourism market that operates charter flights to holiday destinations in Europe. Both companies signed an ACMI contract for a term of eighteen months.
The addition of a wide-body aircraft will enable Corendon to increase its offering across its entire network and provide additional capacity in the Turkish market during the upcoming summer season. The leased aircraft will fly between the Turkish city of Antalya and European cities. In addition, they maintain plans to schedule the A330 on intercontinental routes during the coming winter.
«Our partnership is of particular significance in anticipation of the ramp-up in passenger travel during the upcoming post-pandemic recovery period», said Haris Coloman, CEO of Airhub Aviation.
For her part, Corendon Airlines CEO Mine Aslan, stated: «With this aircraft, we will be taking the first steps of Comfort Class, which is our service concept in wider and much more comfortable seats, contrary to what is known and general practices, to our customers on our existing dense European routes».
