PLAY inaugurates flights to New York (SWF)

At 5:16 p.m. local time on Thursday, June 9th, the inaugural PLAY flight from Reykjavik landed at New York Airport (Stewart). The Icelandic-based airline will fly once a day with Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo, configured for 174 and 192 passengers respectively.

PLAY reaches a total of three destinations in the United States. The carrier operates to Boston and Baltimore on the same aircraft, in addition to the newly opened New York.

New York’s Stewart Airport has resumed scheduled international passenger flights after 33 months of suspension. Until September 2019 it had services to and from Dublin (DUB) by Norwegian operated on Evelop’s Airbus A330s.
