On Thursday, June 30th at 6:46 a.m. local time, an Aerolíneas Argentinas Embraer 190, registration LV-CID, departed from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires, with destination San Salvador. The special operation was with a stopover in Lima, as the aircraft does not have the autonomy to fly non-stop between the two capitals.
The reason behind the trip to El Salvador is for a maintenance overhaul in conjunction with Embraer. At the moment there is no confirmed date of return to Argentina.
Aerolineas Argentinas has 26 Embraer 190s in its fleet. Part of these aircraft are still out of service as a consequence of the pandemic.
