FARNBOROUGH, UK – Eve Holding announced today that it has signed a letter of intent with Halo Aviation Ltd. to collaborate on the development and launch of Eve’s urban air traffic management («UATM») software solution.
As part of the agreement, Halo will acquire Eve’s software with the goal of using it to maximize its UAM operations. This is the first LOI for Eve’s next-generation UATM solution, which will unlock the value and performance of the UAM market network to enable secure industry scalability.
The companies also intend to develop an operational model to be deployed in specific missions and regions in the U.S. and U.K., where Halo operates.
Andrew Collins, President and CEO of Halo, said, «Eve has demonstrated why it will lead the next generation of flight, and we are very excited about it. Halo is delighted to form a unique and collaborative partnership with Eve, as they have spent a great deal of time on more than just manufacturing an eVTOL vehicle, but are working to deploy a number of agnostic solutions that will significantly boost the creation and overall performance of the UAM network.
«In this particular case, we are looking forward to collaborating with the Eve team to bring our current operational vision as a leader in vertical lift in the U.S. and U.K. to help develop and advance Eve’s UATM vision,» he added.
«We believe collaborations like ours are vital to fostering a thriving UAM market that will benefit communities and passengers with a new and additional mode of transportation. Eve’s solution-agnostic portfolio addresses the complexity of UAM networks, which require holistic, integrated services across the entire ecosystem that connect stakeholders to maintain and improve safety, optimize performance and reduce operating costs. Halo’s outstanding travel services, coupled with our solutions, make this partnership extremely promising,» said Andre Stein, co-CEO of Eve.
In June last year, the companies announced the start of their partnership focused on the development of UAM products and services, as well as Halo’s non-binding commitment to order up to 200 of Eve’s eVTOLs (electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles).
Eve’s UATM software is part of an agnostic portfolio of solutions that will enable the integration of all airspace users in the urban environment, which is critical to support the safety, efficiency and improvement of the entire UAM ecosystem, including fleet operators and vertiports.
This new collaboration reinforces Eve and Halo’s commitment to the safe integration and expansion of global UAM operations. Eve expects to begin eVTOL deliveries in 2026.
