Air France announced today that it will schedule its latest aircraft, the Airbus A350XWB, on flights to Sao Paulo and increase to two services per day.
Air France’s Airbus A350XWB debuted on routes to Brazil during the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, but as demand increased it was replaced by the Boeing 777-200ER and 777-300ER. Now the French carrier has announced its return, with a new daily flight, returning to pre-pandemic flight levels in Sao Paulo with the resumption of two connections to Paris from the end of October.
As reported by our partner Aeroin, the company currently operates 12 weekly frequencies to the São Paulo capital, the addition of flights reinforces the company’s recovery strategy in the country. With this increase in supply, the company will offer a total of 4,300 seats per week on flights from Brazil to France.

Our disciplined work in relation to capacity, coupled with the strong desire of passengers to return to Europe, allows us to expand flights in the São Paulo capital,» emphasizes Manuel Flahault, Air France-KLM Group CEO in South America.
«The selection of aircraft also ensures that we can combine the best of our products and services to serve corporate customers, who have gradually and steadily returned, and leisure customers, the first segment to show a strong recovery since the reopening of the borders,» he added.
Air France will have a mix of aircraft in its São Paulo operation. One flight will be operated by the modern Airbus A350-900, which carries up to 324 passengers in three classes of service (Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy). The other flight will be operated by the Boeing 777-300, which carries 296 passengers in four classes of service, including La Première, Air France’s first-class cabin.
