Sunwing Airlines expands its Caribbean offer with the return to Freeport, Grand Bahama (FPO) from December 17. The airline will offer two non-stop services from Toronto (YYZ) and Montreal (YYZ): both routes will operate with a weekly frequency.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Sunwing will have an offer of 68,985 weekly seats on 365 air operations between Canada and the Caribbean, a 64% increase over its 2019 capacity.
Flight itinerary
Montreal (YUL) – Freeport, Grand Bahama (FPO)
- Flight WG 710 YUL 06:00 – FPO 09:35 Saturday.
- Flight WG 711 FPO 10:45 – YUL 13:55 Saturday.
Toronto (YYZ) – Freeport, Grand Bahama (FPO)
- Flight WG 262 YYZ 07:20 – FPO 10:35 Saturday.
- Flight WG 263 FPO 11:45 – YYZ 14:45 Saturday.
Both routes will be operated on Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft with a capacity of 189 seats in a single configuration and will offer package tours at Viva Wyndham Beach Resort, where customers can book their stay.
Sunwing will be the only Canadian carrier to offer non-stop service to Grand Bahama this winter season. Currently three carriers offer service from Freeport (FPO) to North America: American Eagle, Bahamasair and Silver Airways.
The Toronto-based airline’s Caribbean network this winter season will consist of 13 destinations: Antigua (ANU), Aruba (AUA), Cayo Coco (CCC), Cayo Largo del Sur (CYO), Grenada (GND), Holguin (HOG), Montego Bay (MBJ), Manzanillo (MZO), Puerto Plata (POP), Punta Cana (PUJ), Santa Clara (SNU), St. Maarten (SXM), St. Lucia (UVF) and Varadero (VRA).
