Turkish Airlines increases flights to Panama

Turkish Airlines is increasing its operations to Panama – Tocumen (PTY) adding three weekly flights starting October 30. The airline will continue to offer daily services to PTY with triangulation from Bogota (BOG). In addition, the airline is the tenth largest carrier at Tocumen Airport with a 0.8% market share.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Tocumen Airport statistics 61,941 passengers were mobilized in the period from January to July 2022 between Istanbul (IST) and Panama (PTY), it is PTY’s third busiest European route, only behind Amsterdam and Madrid.

Flight Itinerary

  • Istanbul – Panama Tocumen Flight TK 903 IST 14:00 – PTY 20:15 Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Panama Tocumen – Istanbul Flight TK 904 PTY 21:45 – IST 18:25+1 Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

These new frequencies will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 300 seats in two classes (30 Business Class/270 Economy) and promotional fares are available from USD 1,000 each way.

In addition, daily flights in triangulation with Bogota (BOG) are operated on Boeing 777-300ER. The airline’s schedule will be the largest in its history in Panama, completely surpassing pre-pandemic levels.

  • Mexico City (MEX): 11 weekly flights on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Boeing 777-300ER.
  • Cancun (CUN): via MEX.
  • Havana (HAV): three flights a week on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
  • Caracas (CCS): daily flights on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (3 weekly flights are via HAV).
  • Bogota (BOG): daily flights on Boeing 777-300ER.
  • Panama – Tocumen (PTY): 10 weekly flights on Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (3 flights per week are direct).
