Air Tahiti Nui

On October 5 Air Tahiti Nui inaugurated a new destination in the United States with an unprecedented non-stop service to Seattle – Tacoma (SEA) with two weekly flights. This route is the only direct connection between the South Pacific and the Northeast Pacific.

Flight TN 52 was operated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner registered F-OMUA, which took off from Faa’a International Airport (PPT) at 21:50 local time and landed at Seattle – Tacoma Airport (SEA) at 09:47 the following day.

“We are delighted to welcome Air Tahiti Nui as the newest international airline to launch services to SEA,” said Toshiko Hasegawa, commissioner of the Port of Seattle.

“As the second U.S. destination for Air Tahiti Nui, we look forward to being a new gateway for travelers looking to enjoy luxury in the tropical paradise of Tahiti,” Hasegawa added.

Air Tahiti Nui has a codeshare partnership with Alaska Airlines that offers passengers connecting to more than 100 destinations in North America via Seattle – Tacoma (SEA) including convenient access to major destinations such as New York, Chicago, Miami, Boston, Vancouver and the islands of Tahiti.

Flight Itinerary

  • Papeete – Seattle Flight TN 52 PPT 22:00 – SEA 10:25+1 Tuesday and Saturday.

The route will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 294 seats in three classes (30 Business Class/32 Premium Economy/232 Economy).

“In addition to our long-established route from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), this new gateway to the Tahiti Islands brings the heart of the South Pacific closer to more travelers in North America and strengthens Air Tahiti Nui’s position as French Polynesia’s leading airline,” said Michel Monvoisin, CEO of Air Tahiti Nui.

Air Tahiti Nui’s network is comprised of five destinations including: Auckland (AKL), Los Angeles (LAX), Tokyo Narita (NRT), Paris – Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and now Seattle (SEA).

Seattle – Tacoma (SEA) International Growth

With the arrival of Air Tahiti Nui with its service from Papeete (PPT) it becomes the third carrier to arrive this year at Seattle – Tacoma (SEA), complementing Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul (IST) and Finnair’s Helsinki (HEL) routes that began this summer 2022.

In total, 43 international services are currently available at SEA, providing 28 nonstop flights overseas, via 25 airlines.
